The mantle of the consciousness of the Guru is a momentum. It is symbolized in the robe of Christ—the subject of much mystery—which the soldiers would not cut because it was the seamless garment. The robe of Christ, the very mantle of his attainment, is something that can drop upon you—just as the mantle of Elijah fell upon Elisha,<ref>2 Kings 2:8–15.</ref> just as the succession of the Buddhas in the Far East continues unbroken. The passing of the mantle is the passing of the momentums of attainment.
