For the ascended lady master Pearl, see Rex and Nada, Bob and Pearl.

The pearl is a symbol that is used in the world’s religions. Jesus spoke of the “pearl of great price,” and the Gnostics compared the soul to a pearl in The Hymn of the Pearl. The ancient text The Book of the Glory of Kings says that the Archangel Gabriel was directed to protect all who carry the pearl.

Edgar Cayce says that pearl strengthens the body and should be worn close to the skin. Its primary effect is upon the emotions: it helps develop an even temperament. Pearls are a focus of the resurrection flame.
