कुंडलिनी अग्नि रीढ़ की हड्डी के अंतिम भाग में स्थित मूलाधार चक्र में एक कुंडलित सर्प के रूप में रहती है। जब कोई व्यक्ति आध्यात्मिक रूप से शुद्ध हो स्वयं पर नियंत्रण प्राप्त कर लेता है तो यह अग्नि सर्पिल रूप से सहस्रार चक्र की ओर ऊपर उठती है। यह मार्ग में आने वाले सभी आध्यात्मिक केंद्रों (चक्रों) को सक्रिय करती जाती है। ईश्वर, प्रकाश, जीवन, ऊर्जा, ईश्वरीय स्वरूप। "ईश्वर सब कुछ स्वयं में निहित करने वाली अग्नि है।"[1]
