In The Chela and the Path, El Morya explains the purposes of the quarterly conferences held by The Summit Lighthouse:

Cuando se fundó Th e Summit Lighthouse, establecí la costumbre de las conferencias trimestrales para anclar los ciclos del año. Al reunirse cuatro veces al año para dar y recibir, los chelas de los maestros ascendidos prestan un servicio incomparable a la Gran Hermandad Blanca. Si pudierais contemplar nuestras conferencias trimestrales en niveles internos, observaríais cómo construyen los chelas el campo energético en el plano físico con sus devociones, con su unión, y cómo la jerarquía hace descender una red que es el mandala para esa clase en el plano etéreo, encima del sitio físico donde tiene lugar la clase.

El mandala es como un copo de nieve: único en su diseño, nunca antes visto, nunca se volverá a repetir. Este diseño geométrico suspendido sobre el grupo es el punto focal donde se amalgaman las energías del grupo para atraer, como imán de luz, las emisiones de los maestros ascendidos proyectadas por la Junta Kármica para esa conferencia en particular. Cada sesión programada y cada dictado que se da llenan una porción del mandala; la dedicación de los estudiantes intensifi ca la acción del fuego sagrado que puede entregarse al planeta.

Nuestras conferencias se llevan a cabo para el cambio de los ciclos anuales: solsticio de invierno, equinoccio de primavera, solsticio de verano y equinoccio de otoño: Los cambios físicos ocurren con antelación a la conferencia y la luz que las jerarquías del sol envían en el momento del cambio de las estaciones se expande entonces por mediación de los seres ascendidos y no ascendidos que sirven juntos en las conferencias para el cumplimiento de algún propósito cósmico en la Tierra como en el Cielo.

Whenever possible, you should seize the opportunity to attend such a conference. What’s more, you should make possible the impossible through the alchemy of invocation to your own God Being. Not only are these conferences the most important experience of a lifetime in terms of the expansion of consciousness and the transmutation of untold substance in your world, but your willingness to serve as a coordinate on earth for the hierarchies of light will earn for you a momentum of good karma that you can ill afford to be without.

God needs man and man needs God. This is the law of the hallowed circle of the AUM. And when you find yourself standing in that circle, ever-widening, that is formed for the final release of the Lord of the World to the devotees at the conclusion of a conference, you will know that all that I have told you is indeed true; and by the thread of contact with hierarchy which you have established, your life will never be the same.

Mighty Victory has also spoken of the importance of attending the quarterly conferences:

There is a polarity twixt the soul (sealed in the inner retreat of the heart with Christ) with the I AM Presence. It is this polarity that we have desired to establish by having you present at this Inner Retreat!

And therefore, we have urged you to be with us. And we urge you again and again not to miss these quarterly conferences, not any hour or any day—whether you think it is important or no, or whether you think you have other business or other things to tend to. For we cannot build a consecutive spiral within you when you pick and choose and come and go and do not tarry in that flame.
