From the sacred fire of Ahura Mazda revealed by Zarathustra, to Jesus’ baptism by the Holy Ghost “with fire,”[1] to the apostle’s perception of the trial by fire,[2] to the eternal flame of the sevenfold lights of the Hebrews,[3] all children of the One who would return to the flame have revered God’s flaming Presence and beheld him in the very midst of the Shekinah glory. And in their hearts they accept the reality of his promise unto the soul, the waiting Bride, “For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.”[4]
