Lotus
La maîtresse ascendante « Lotus » s'est incarnée pour la dernière fois sous le nom d'« Edna Ballard », messagère de Saint Germain dans le cadre de l'activité « I AM », fondée au début des années 1930. Son âme sœur est le messager Guy W. Ballard, aujourd'hui le maître ascensionné Godfre. C'est à travers eux que Saint Germain a pour la première fois révélé au monde la connaissance de la flamme violette.

Lotus, Godfre et leur fils Donald se sont tous incarnés il y a plus de cinquante mille ans en tant qu'enfants de Saint Germain, le hiérarque d'une civilisation de l'âge d'or dans la région où se trouve aujourd'hui le désert du Sahara.
Jeanne d'Arc

Lotus s'incarna plus tard sous les traits de Jeanne d'Arc (1412-1431), à qui Dieu confia la mission de rallier les armées françaises et de chasser les forces anglaises envahissantes.
Réincarnations ultérieures
Elle a également incarné Élisabeth Ire d'Angleterre (1533-1603) et Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), qui a joué un rôle très influent dans la fondation de la nation américaine.
Sa dernière incarnation
Edna Ballard, souvent appelée Mama Ballard par ses élèves, utilisait le pseudonyme « Lotus Ray King ». Elle a traversé d'énormes épreuves et persécutions pendant son mandat de messagère. À Los Angeles, en 1940 (l'année suivant l'ascension de Godfre), des accusations criminelles fédérales ont été portées contre Mme Ballard, son fils Donald et d'autres personnes pour sollicitation frauduleuse de fonds par courrier. Malgré les vives objections de l'avocat de la défense, le jury a été chargé de déterminer si les Ballard croyaient réellement à ce qu'ils enseignaient et écrivaient au sujet de leur rôle de messagers et des maîtres ascensionnés.
Pendant six ans, l'affaire « États-Unis contre Ballard » a fait l'objet de deux procès et d'une longue série d'appels, au cours desquels Mme Ballard a été condamnée à un an de prison et à une amende de 8 000 dollars, bien que la peine de prison ait ensuite été suspendue. Peu après, le ministère des Postes a émis un ordre interdisant à l'I AM Activity d'utiliser le service postal. Face à la couverture médiatique défavorable et aux préjugés extrêmes au sein du système pénal, Mme Ballard et ses élèves ont continué à se battre, et leurs efforts ont abouti en 1946 à l'annulation de la condamnation par la Cour suprême des États-Unis. L'avis écrit rendu dans cette affaire a souvent été cité dans des litiges ultérieurs visant à interdire toute enquête judiciaire sur la véracité ou la fausseté des croyances religieuses.
The ascended lady master Magda spoke of the service of the Ballards and of their persecution. She said that we would not have the opportunity to give the violet flame and ascend “if Saint Germain and Godfre and Lotus had not been willing to bear the utter persecution, the trial, the lies in the newspapers regarding the I AM movement. You have also been persecuted in your time, but those days of the I AM movement were horrific and without parallel.”[1]
On November 18, 1970, Edna Ballard gave her final dictation before her transition. On February 12, 1971, she made her ascension and became the ascended lady master Lotus.
Her mission today
Lotus spoke in 1973 of her service and of the ongoing mission of the messengers:
Some of you here knew me in my last embodiment, and you called me Mama. I desire that you should address this salutation to the Mother of the Flame; for I transfer to her this night my momentum of victory with the legions of light, and I give to her the mantle of my authority and my messengership under Saint Germain....
I speak now directly to those students who were with me in the I AM Activity, and I say to you, regardless of all evidence to the contrary or of anything that might have passed from my lips while I was in embodiment, I do espouse and back with my total heart flame this activity and this messenger as the continuing outpost and release of the Great White Brotherhood and of Saint Germain to this age.
For I understand from ascended levels of consciousness the nature of the ongoingness of hierarchy. And although there are only two messengers of the Brotherhood, the two messengers constitute the office of the two witnesses spoken of in the Book of Revelation. This, then, is a high and holy calling to which twin flames are ordained in every age.
Thus, as there is only one Christ, so there are many manifestations of the office of the Christ; and as there are offices in hierarchy, so the opportunity to serve in those offices is given to ascended and unascended sons and daughters of God as they evolve in the hierarchical scheme of the Great White Brotherhood.[2]
