Christ in Gethsemane, Heinrich Hofmann (1886)

The Angel of Gethsemane is one who ministered to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He comes to strengthen the body of God upon earth as he strengthened Jesus in the Garden.

This angel has released one dictation. He said:

My strengthening is for the hour when you also must be alone in the Garden, unsupported by those well-meaning ones around you, in the hour when you, too, must say, “If thou be willing, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, Father, not my will but thine be done.” And when you have spoken the word, “thy will be done,” then and only then shall I appear to strengthen you for the most glorious of initiations—the hour of the crucifixion when the Christ is liberated fully and the soul prepares for the resurrection.[1]
