Chelaship pin
In a dictation on January 1, 1993, El Morya said:
If you desire to receive that acceleration on the Path ... you must but so signify. I recommend that you create a little sticker or a little button or a symbolic pin that you can wear that tells the messenger: “I want to be pummeled.” “I want to hear the truth.” “I want to accelerate.” Or, “You may speak to me at any time to instruct me, to love me, to chasten me, to correct me. I am open. So receive me.”
Thus each one goes on record, and that way our messenger will not burden any who do not desire to hear what is the word of God for them in this hour. As we have said before, let the messenger be a messenger. And so she shall but only by your leave, for no Guru has power over anyone except the power given by those who would be disciples....
Thus it is the Law, beloved, that the people themselves must ask for and receive the assistance of the Guru, even the abilities of the Guru.
I assure you that I am always your humble servant and that all of the ascended hosts stand in the Great Hall at the Grand Teton Retreat to renew their commitment to you. And they pledge anew their lives and all of their causal bodies to the success of the lightbearers of the earth. We believe fervently, beloved, that with all lightbearers combining forces with the heavenly hosts, this earth can be turned around, and swiftly so, in the physical octave.
We urge you, therefore, not to underestimate your role in this process and not to think that if you vacate your mantle or your position, another will come to fill it. We cannot roll out the dough and make the proverbial gingerbread men and set them up and place them in your vacancy.
No, beloved, you must understand that where each one of you is born, a star is born that is unique. There is no one in cosmos who can accomplish your assignment quite as you can. Only you can do it. Others may come who are second-best or third or one-hundredth, but the uniqueness of your calling is yours.
Perhaps my reminding you of this fact will bring you some sense of a greater self-worth; for by the very uniqueness of your calling, you shall place the unique jewel in the mandala of the chelas of El Morya and of the Great White Brotherhood....
I ask you to think of me as your father and to commend your path and your chelaship into my keeping that I might guide you on the Homeward way and spare your feet descending into the pitfalls.[1]
In response to El Morya’s request, the messenger designed a chelaship pin of three blue dots in a blue circle, inspired by the Roerich Banner of Peace with its three vermilion dots in a vermilion circle. She said:
I remembered that El Morya signs his M with three dots. So we came up with a little pin of three blue dots in a blue circle. Those three dots stand for Morya’s chelas who would like to have response from me on their path, would like to be pummeled, chastened, et cetera.... So if you are wearing this little pin and I see you coming my way, I know that I can be frank with you and I don’t just have to pass the pleasantries of the day but I can lock right in to what may be the need of the hour.[2]
On July 7, 1996, El Morya reminded us of his request:
So now, to the point, beloved: we must pummel you. We have a good pummeler and you must receive her. If you do not, I will throw up my hands in despair and say, “Where will I find chelas that are ready?” I ask you, beloved, therefore, once again, as I have asked you before, if you want to be pummeled, wear the pin with the three blue dots, the Roerich emblem.
This time I ask you to write to the messenger and write to me and tell us how far you want us to take you, just how far, beloved. And you will have it, I promise. You will have it and you will wonder why you waited and hid and went this way and that way when you saw the messenger coming. I tell you, beloved, you have one who can lead you to the threshold of being the Bride of Christ.
I ask you, please receive my messenger. Go on the Path with her and you will find that this was not as hard as you imagined at all because you have for the most part transmuted so much of your karma. You have worked with your psychology. You have prepared yourself for this hour. Now it takes the intensity.
This fire cannot burn without intensity, beloved. Do you understand this? The fire of a mission must be present or the mission will fail. The fire of a chela must be present or the chela will fail. Only fire can transform you! I speak of the sacred fire, beloved. That is the transforming power. That is why you must accelerate. That is why you accelerate your dynamic decrees. For, beloved, even the decrees themselves generate a heat and a fire.
So you come to that place of the embodiment of fire and then you can take the disciplines! You cannot take them unless you have the fire. The fire you can call forth from your I AM Presence, from your Holy Christ Self, from all masters in heaven. But you must call it forth! You must keep those home fires burning on the altar of your heart.[3]
Witness from a chela
A chela of the masters wrote of an experience in wearing this pin:
Dear Friends of the Light:
This morning as I was in the process of doing my morning decrees, I had a wonderful experience. During the fall conference I had purchased the pin with El Morya’s three dots on it....
This morning before I started my decrees I placed the pin near El Morya’s picture on my altar and proceeded as I usually do. When I came to his decree “I AM God’s Will” I found I had difficulty saying it. There seemed to be a lot of tension in me and in my voice, so I stopped to tune in, for I assumed El Morya wanted my attention. I then realized that El Morya wanted me to wear the pin, not just leave it on the altar.
So I put on the pin and, as I sat back and paid attention, a tremendous wave of understanding and emotion flooded over me. I could see something in my psychology that I had not been aware of before. I could now see very clearly how it had acted as a block to greater Light. With gratitude for this new understanding, I asked El Morya to assist me by removing this barrier and healing my psychology. I promised that I would also do my part.
I was so thrilled to find that it would work to wear El Morya’s pin at the altar. There are so many times when we do not have direct access to the Messenger for the corrections and pummeling that we so badly need if we are to make progress on the Path. It would seem, however, that the masters are always ready to work with us if we just ask.
I thought I would share this experience in the event that others would like to wear El Morya’s “pummeling” pin at the altar and receive his feedback.[4]
