In the Genesis account of Adam and Eve, we see Jesus as Abel, the son of Adam, who found favor with the LORD but was slain by his jealous brother, Cain. When Eve conceived and bore another son, she called his name Seth: “For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.”
