Uriel and Aurora are the archangels of the sixth ray of ministration and service. In their ministrations, they guard the dawn of the Christ consciousness in mankind and elemental life.
The sixth ray is also the ray of peace, and Uriel and Aurora keep the flame of peace for mankind until they are able to invoke it for themselves. They prepare the way for the unfoldment of the light of God within each soul. Aurora carries the Mother feeling of peace and love to all mankind. Hers is the assurance that always flows from a mother’s love—all is well, “the dawn is coming.”
In order to have peace, the archangels sometimes have to make war for the binding of the fallen angels. Archangel Uriel and Aurora embody the peace and brotherhood of God. They minister to all life. Their work corresponds to the solar-plexus chakra, which is at the navel. Their day is Thursday, and on this day we can receive a greater release of light, energy and cosmic consciousness from their causal body.
Traditions about Uriel
The name Uriel means “fire of God,” “flame of God” or “God is my light.” In Jewish tradition, Archangel Uriel is called the “one who brings light to Israel.” He interprets prophecies and is often shown carrying a book, a papyrus scroll. John Milton describes Uriel in Paradise Lost as the “regent of the sun” and “the sharpest-sighted spirit of all in Heaven.” Some traditions say Uriel is the angel who led Abraham out of the land of Ur.
Uriel is not named in the Bible, but he is mentioned in Jewish and Christian texts. He is said to be an angel of the Presence who watches over the world and over the lowest part of Hades. Uriel is one of the four chief angels in the Book of Enoch along with Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. He guided Enoch on his journeys through heaven and the underworld, and he warned Noah of the impending flood. Some traditions say Uriel taught Noah how to survive the flood.
In the Sibylline Oracles (texts that were used to spread Jewish and then Christian doctrine among pagans), Uriel is mentioned as one of the angels who leads souls to judgment. Uriel also plays a key role in the Jewish work the Fourth Book of Ezra. In this book, Uriel interprets the visions of Ezra and instructs him in the secrets of the universe. He answers Ezra’s questions about the judgment and the signs of the end of the age.
Uriel’s keys for change
Today Archangel Uriel gives a number of keys for changing your life, your family, your community and your planet for the better. The first is to call to the seven archangels to infuse your spiritual centers, your chakras, with the light of the Universal Christ. He says:
Only call to us in the name of God I AM THAT I AM and in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, to enter your affairs. Then stand fast and behold the salvation of your God! Stand fast and see the healing of the nations through the work of the seven archangels![1]
When you call upon us, we are instantaneously with you. When you do not call upon us, even though we want to save you, cosmic law says we cannot intervene. We are required to respect your free will.[2]
Violet flame
Another key for personal and planetary change is to apply the violet flame daily and generously. The violet flame is the gift of the Holy Spirit. It transmutes the records of negative karma, including the records of your own misdeeds and the misdeeds of others. For example, to bring about peace on earth, Archangel Uriel says it is important to apply the violet flame to the clearance of the records of death and war on the battlefields of the planet.
Increase the flame of peace
Archangel Uriel teaches us to increase the flame of peace in our aura and how to use the power of peace against the forces of anti-peace. When you lose your equilibrium, Uriel advises: Return to harmony as fast as you can. If you desire harmony more than you desire to win an argument, you can restore the peace quickly. Harmony is when you have absolute control over the energies that pass through you. Watch your tone of voice. Rise to the plane of your Christ Self and do not allow the different parts of yourself, as spoiled children, to pull you in four directions. The power of God is to be found in the inner stillness of the heart.
Angel of the judgment
Uriel also teaches us to invoke the power of the Lord’s judgment, and he is the archangel who delivers the judgments of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus has asked us to call for the binding of the fallen angels who prey upon the children of God. Saint Germain gives to his Keepers of the Flame the power to bind the fallen angels both on earth and in heaven. The apostle Paul confirms this dispensation: “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”[3] Paul is referring to the fallen angels.
Archangel Uriel is deeply concerned about abortion and the karma that will descend upon the nations who condone it. For God chooses the special moment in history when each soul is to be born to fulfill its reason for being. Uriel says: “To murder the children of God is to murder God as flaming potential—is to crucify Christ anew.”[4] Uriel has prophesied that cataclysm will befall any nation and people who either practice or tolerate abortion. He said this cataclysm could manifest in the weather, in the economy or in the households where brother is set against brother.[5]
Uriel says that if you have ever been involved in an abortion, you can balance your karma by performing acts of mercy. Implore God’s forgiveness. You can right the wrong by sponsoring life and by speaking out in defense of the unborn.
On December 29, 1985, Archangel Uriel said that we could call to the angels for the judgment of terrorism anywhere in the world: “Whereas there is no international solution for terrorism, the LORD God Almighty contains that solution. And the angels are ready to deliver it as you offer the confirming Word and ratify God’s will by your decrees.”
There is another form of judgment—the action of judgment to our own not-self—the antithesis of the Real Self. The not-self is the ego self. It is the angry self, the selfish self, the self that has hardness of heart and does not care for others. When you ask God to judge you, his sacred fire descends into your temple—not to harm you, but to separate out the bad karma from the good karma. This helps you to see your errors for what they are. We must ponder the offenses we have committed against God, unwittingly and ignorantly, and then atone for them. Call to Archangel Uriel to separate the tares from the wheat that are growing side by side within you. Study what is Real and what is unreal in your consciousness. Then, let the sacred fire consume all energy you have misqualified. Invoke the violet flame vigorously and valiantly.
When you call to Archangel Uriel for divine justice and the true and righteous judgments of our God, his answer may not be immediate. But rest assured the process has begun, and it will be fulfilled in God’s time with or without your knowledge.
When we call for God’s judgment to descend on earth, it is important to remember that it is ours to forgive; it is God’s to deliver his justice. If we witness an injustice, the safest recourse is to turn the problem over to God and his angelic emissaries. The Bible says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”[6]
The resurrection flame
Uriel is also the angel of the resurrection flame. This flame is mother-of-pearl in color, and it brings renewal, rebirth and rejuvenation so that you, like a phoenix, can rise out of the ashes of your former self. Archangel Uriel teaches us how to use the resurrection flame to conquer fear and achieve true God-mastery. He says, “When it comes to the conquering of fear, it is simply the art of letting God perform his perfect work and of you letting go.”[7]
Archangel Uriel gives us an exercise for letting go of fear. He says to place your hands, one over the other, to your heart, then release them, opened, relaxed, extending them outwards. Uncross your legs and breathe gently. Then speak these words tenderly to your soul and to your body three times: “Peace, be still!” When you hold your hands out in front of you, cupped, the posture reflects the serenity of the little child within you, secure in the arms of its mother.
Uriel says, “As all life reflects this caring, simply trust the Mother flame in the heart of the resurrection light to unburden you of all doubt and fear.”[8] Each day, pause for a moment to rest, to relax the body, the mind, the soul. Consciously withdraw the tensions of the day from head to toe. You can use your favorite form of yoga or T’ai Chi to accomplish this. Just let go and let God. See how all doubt and fear are washed away, and you will know the joy of self-confidence and self-esteem.
Archangel Uriel has assigned to each one of us an angel of his band to help us experience the power of resurrection’s flame in our personal lives and in our cities. He has also assigned this angel to help us in binding the not-self within and without and in transmuting the karma of our cities. Uriel says that in order to receive your angel, you must say: “In the name I AM THAT I AM, in the name of Archangel Uriel, I accept the angel of the resurrection where I AM!”[9]
Daily devotions
Another key from Uriel for bringing about change is to offer devotions to your God Presence every day. Archangel Uriel and his angels have promised to help you as you walk the path back to God’s heart. He says:
We have but one request of you: that you determine within your hearts to not let a day go by that you do not think upon your mighty God Presence and offer your devotions, your adorations and your ministrations to this mighty Source of life. For it is through this God Presence that we are able to penetrate the darkness that is around you, that we are able to descend and walk with you, and that you are able to ascend into our presence. By this mutuality of service, this cosmic cooperation, we can move forward.... The Presence of God never fails!
Uriel says that it is separation from that God-reality that causes failure. It is separation that causes doubt. It is separation from God that causes fear.
And I say that separation is a lie, that it never existed in the mind and heart of God, and it shall not exist within you if you heed my words this day and accept the mighty dispensations of light given to you. Accept them and become one with your God Presence!...
Walk the earth as Christs. Put off the old garment! Put it off and be transfigured in the mighty transfiguring flame of life!”[10]
Four steps for overcoming unwanted conditions
Archangel Uriel gives four steps for overcoming any unwanted condition in your life.
- First, “Do not condemn yourself for the condition.”
- Second, “See yourself in your Great God-reality, filled with the Spirit, and see the problem as one inch high.”
- Third, “Give this fiat from the very depths of your being: ‘O my God, I will have the victory over this beast of my lesser self!’”
- Fourth, do not suppress your negatives. Do not get into denial, but look squarely at what you are dealing with and let the negatives in your world just go into the violet flame.
Replace unwanted activities and desires with new activities, new desires, new joy, new interactions and friends of light. Unite for a positive cause. You will find yourself so preoccupied with helping others that you will not regress into temptation when you are tempted to engage in old habit patterns. Rechannel the stream. Reverse the course of your downstream momentums. Build a new streambed, directing the course of your life where you want to go. It takes effort to atone for misdeeds and mistakes and to exchange the lesser desires for the greater desires. “But we are here to help you,” says Archangel Uriel. “Just call on us and we will prove it to you.”[11]
Retreats
► Main article: Uriel and Aurora's retreat
Uriel and Aurora’s retreat is located in the etheric realm over the Tatra Mountains, south of Cracow, Poland. They and the legions of angels of peace from their retreat also serve with the legions of peace from beloved Jesus’ Retreat in Arabia and from the retreat of the Elohim of Peace over the Hawaiian Islands.
Uriel and Aurora inspired upon the composer Brahms the lullaby that they use to soothe the souls of little children and to infuse them with the comfort and healing of the abiding God Presence and the indwelling Christ flame.
